Be warned that almost everyone needs to go up a size from their usual.

These are a lovely trouser. The solitary photo doesn't do justice to the check, which is subtle but really nice. They are also a bit darker than they look in that pic.
On the sizing - go with your measured waist, rather than the vanity sizing of the high street brands, and you should be fine. E.g. I'm a comfortable 32" in Levis, Lee, Uniqlo, Gap, etc, but the 34" in these JtG trews fits me perfectly (the tape measure had me at just over 34").
